Committee — INEXPEDIENT TO LEGISLATE
While the committee appreciates the sponsor’s commitment to optimum constituent representation, we do not believe that it is in the best interests of the citizens of New Hampshire or California to seek to influence a matter currently being debated in the California legislature. We have no data to suggest that splitting California is desirable or feasible. Even if we did, we don’t believe that the supporters offered compelling reasons for the Granite State to involve itself. For those reasons we recommend this resolution be found Inexpedient to Legislate. Vote 15-0.
