Rep. Mike Belcher

This bill proposes to prohibit curriculum from the World Economic Forum (WEF) from inclusion in NH schools. This is viewed as a positive, as the WEF promotes values contrary to the US and NH Constitutions and republican form of government, including technocracy, the dissolution of national sovereignty, and promotion of totalitarianism. Vote 10-8.

Rep. Peggy Balboni

This bill attempts to ban any materials from a singular source and directly contradicts the wording in state statute that makes it clear that local school boards are responsible for making curricular and instructional decisions that are best for their students. There are over 200 NH high school students who participate in Model UN, a popular program that utilizes many resources relevant to global issues. Regardless of one’s position on the relevance of the World Economic Forum, this bill would prohibit students from accessing some materials necessary to inform a comprehensive debate position and opens the door to further curriculum and instructional censorship.
