Where it stands
Senate: VETO OVERRIDDEN
Every floor vote on this bill was a voice or division vote, so there is no record of how individual legislators voted.
A bill goes on the consent calendar when the committee vote was unanimous or nearly so, and any members who dissented did not object to placing it there. It then passes without floor debate. Ten members may file a petition to pull a bill off the consent calendar and have it debated and voted on separately.

Committee reports
Reproduced from the House Calendar in the committee’s own words.
Committee — OUGHT TO PASS WITH AMENDMENT
This bill as presented would allow the warrant for a special town meeting to be posted on the town’s website in lieu of in a newspaper of general circulation. This bill was introduced to remove the current statute that requires towns to post town meetings in newspapers of general circulation. The amendment would require after a week of posting the warrant, require a copy of the warrant to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation in said town if one exists, and shall also post the warrant on the town’s website, if the town maintains one. Posting on the town’s website shall be in addition to, and shall not be a substitute for, publication in a newspaper of general circulation. The committee felt that not all communities have a website and not all residents have access or choose to have internet. The committee voted to recommend the bill Ought to Pass with Amendment. Vote 17-0.
