Committee — OUGHT TO PASS WITH AMENDMENT

Rep. Peter Bixby

As amended, this bill creates a committee to study RSA 466: Dogs and Cats. Over the course of the years, multiple changes in this chapter have led to poor organization, statutes that are difficult to understand, and outdated information. The committee, with assistance from department and municipal officials, will identify elements of the chapter that need to be clarified, reorganized, or eliminated. The intent is to leave current policy unchanged but rewrite the statutes to make them clear and accurate. Vote 14-1.
