Where it stands
House: PASSED/ADOPTED · Senate: PASSED/ADOPTED
Every floor vote on this bill was a voice or division vote, so there is no record of how individual legislators voted.
A bill goes on the consent calendar when the committee vote was unanimous or nearly so, and any members who dissented did not object to placing it there. It then passes without floor debate. Ten members may file a petition to pull a bill off the consent calendar and have it debated and voted on separately.

Committee — OUGHT TO PASS
This bill strengthens New Hampshire’s ability to protect its waters, public health, and economy. By including cyanobacteria and other harmful algal blooms in the existing Exotic Aquatic Weeds and Species Study Committee, the state will be better prepared to tackle the complex, interconnected challenges facing its aquatic ecosystems, following the success of this existing committee. The Exotic Aquatic Weeds and Species Study Committee has effectively supported state efforts to manage invasive species, coordinated with agencies, and recommended best practices. The committee’s structure, which includes three state representatives, one senator, NH Department of Environmental Services, NH Fish and Game Department, the Department of Agriculture, Markets, and Food, NH Lakes Association, NH Rivers Council, Connecticut River Watershed Council, NH Marine Trades Association, Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society, and two public members, makes it ideally suited to take on the additional challenge of harmful algal blooms and cyanobacteria without forming a new committee. Vote 13-0. 20 13 FEBRUARY 2026
