The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 2024 and referred to the Senate Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 9, 2024. The committee voted unanimously, 4–0, to recommend that the Senate study it after the session ends. On March 7, 2024 the Senate voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Gendreau. The bill died on the table under Senate Rule 3-23 at adjournment on October 10, 2024, having been set aside and never taken back up.
