The Story

A floor amendment (2023-0628s), offered by Sen. James Gray, was adopted on a voice vote on February 22, 2023, changing the text of the bill. On February 22, 2023 the Senate adopted the motion that it ought to pass with an amendment on a voice vote, but its third reading was left pending. On February 22, 2023 the Senate voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. James Gray. The bill died on the table under Senate Rule 3-23 at adjournment on October 26, 2023, having been set aside and never taken back up.
