The Story

The committee met in executive session on February 15, 2023 and March 13, 2023. The committee recommended that the House make no recommendation. On March 22, 2023 the House adopted “Lay HB539 on Table” on a roll call 257–123, on a motion by Rep. Rick Ladd. The bill died on the table when the session ended on October 26, 2023, having been set aside and never taken back up.
