relative to the absentee ballot application form.
- Status: Referred for interim study
- Term: 2021-2022
- House committee: Election Law
- Senate committee: Election Law and Municipal Affairs
- Subject: Elections
The Story
It was introduced on January 6, 2021 and referred to the Senate Election Law and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2021-0422s). The committee's amendment (2021-0422s) was adopted on a roll call 14–10 on March 4, 2021, changing the text of the bill. On March 4, 2021 the Senate voted to pass it with changes and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House and was referred to the House Election Law committee. The committee held a work session on May 5, 2021. The committee met in executive session on May 19, 2021 to vote on its recommendation. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee met in executive session on November 12, 2021 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 20–0, to recommend that the House study it after the session ends, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 5, 2022 the House voted to study it after the session ends on a voice vote. The committee held a work session on June 16, 2022. The committee reported back on its interim study of the bill: “Not Recommended for Future Legislation”, by a vote of 15 to 0.
