On April 21, 2022 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote, then referred it on to the Senate Finance committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On May 5, 2022 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 12, 2022 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate Amendment” on a voice vote, on a motion by Rep. Gordon. The bill was enrolled on May 26, 2022 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 24, 2022, making it Chapter 250 of the session laws.
