HB 382 (2022)

establishing a commission to study the utility rate structure of demand charges.

  • Status: Died on the table
  • Term: 2021-2022
  • House committee: Science, Technology and Energy
  • Subject: Study Committees and Commissions

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2021 and referred to the House Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held a work session on September 15, 2021. The committee met in executive session on October 26, 2021 to vote on its recommendation. The majority recommended that the House kill it, and the minority recommended that the House pass it, by a vote of 11–10. The report was placed on the regular calendar. On January 6, 2022 the House voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote, on a motion by Rep. Vose.
