On March 10, 2022 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 23, 2022. The committee voted unanimously, 5–0, to recommend that the Senate pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 31, 2022 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. An enrolled bill amendment (2022-1699e) was adopted on a voice vote on April 28, 2022. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on May 12, 2022 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (2022-1669E) was considered to correct technical errors found after passage. The governor signed it on May 20, 2022, making it Chapter 72 of the session laws.
