The committee's amendment (2022-1365s) was adopted on a voice vote on April 14, 2022, changing the text of the bill. On April 14, 2022 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote, then referred it on to the Senate Finance committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2022-1665s). The committee's amendment (2022-1665s) was adopted on a voice vote on April 28, 2022, changing the text of the bill. A floor amendment (2022-1839s), offered by Sen. Cindy Rosenwald, was adopted on a voice vote on April 28, 2022, changing the text of the bill. On April 28, 2022 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 5, 2022 the House adopted “House Non-Concurs with Senate Amendment 2022-1839s 2022-1665s 2022-1365s and Requests CofC (Reps. Ladd, Cordelli, B. Nelson, Ellison)” on a voice vote. On May 12, 2022 the Senate adopted “Accedes to House Request for Committee of Conference” on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Ruth Ward. A committee of conference met on May 17, 2022 to try to settle the differences between the two chambers' versions of the bill. On May 26, 2022 the Senate adopted the conference report (2022-2034c) on a voice vote. On May 26, 2022 the House adopted the conference report (2022-2034c) on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 26, 2022 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (2022-2128e) was adopted on a voice vote to correct technical errors found after passage. The governor signed it on July 8, 2022, making it Chapter 325 of the session laws.
