HB 560 (2021)

relative to the election of Rockingham county officials.

  • Status: Died on the table
  • Term: 2021-2022
  • House committee: Municipal and County Government
  • Subject: Counties

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2021 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee met in executive session on February 8, 2021 to vote on its recommendation. The majority recommended that the House pass it with changes (amendment 2021-0187h), and the minority recommended that the House kill it, by a vote of 11–8. The report was placed on the regular calendar. On April 9, 2021 the House voted to lay it on the table on a roll call 206–167, on a motion by Rep. Porter. The bill died on the table when the session ended on January 5, 2022, having been set aside and never taken back up.
