- House committee: Resources, Recreation and Development

The Story
It was introduced on January 6, 2021 and referred to the House Public Works and Highways committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Resources, Recreation and Development committee instead. The committee voted unanimously, 20–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 24, 2021 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 4, 2021 and was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee. The committee voted unanimously, 5–0, to recommend that the Senate pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 8, 2021 the Senate voted to pass it and ordered it to a third reading. On April 22, 2021 the Senate adopted “Enrolled RC 24Y-0N”. The bill was enrolled on April 29, 2021 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on May 6, 2021, making it Chapter 25 of the session laws.
