HB 332 (2021)

relative to deadlines for consideration of developments of regional impact by planning boards.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2021-2022
  • House committee: Municipal and County Government
  • Senate committee: Election Law and Municipal Affairs
  • Subject: Zoning and Planning
  • Chapter law: 69

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2021 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee met in executive session on February 9, 2021 to vote on its recommendation. The committee recommended that the House make no recommendation. A floor amendment (2021-0344h), offered by Rep. Brian Seaworth, was adopted on a voice vote on April 9, 2021, changing the text of the bill. On April 9, 2021 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate and was referred to the Senate Election Law and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee voted unanimously, 5–0, to recommend that the Senate pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On May 6, 2021 the Senate voted to pass it and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on June 3, 2021 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 10, 2021, making it Chapter 69 of the session laws.
