The Story

On February 19, 2020 the House voted to pass it on a roll call 329–21. On February 19, 2020 the bill was referred to the Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 4, 2020. The committee held work sessions on March 5, 2020, March 9, 2020 and May 20, 2020. The committee met in executive session on June 1, 2020 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 19–0, to recommend that the House study it after the session ends, and the report was placed on the consent calendar.
