SB 412 (2018)
relative to agritourism.
- Status: Signed into law
- Term: 2017-2018
- House committee: Municipal and County Government
- Senate committee: Ways and Means
- Subject: Miscellaneous
- Chapter law: 56
The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 2018 and referred to the Senate Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 10, 2018. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2018-1011s). The committee's amendment (2018-1011s) was adopted on a voice vote on March 15, 2018, changing the text of the bill. On March 15, 2018 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House on March 15, 2018 and was referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 3, 2018. The committee met in executive session on April 11, 2018 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 16–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 19, 2018 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 10, 2018 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (2018-1822e) was adopted on a voice vote to correct technical errors found after passage. The governor signed it on May 16, 2018, making it Chapter 56 of the session laws. It took effect on July 15, 2018.
