The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 2018 and referred to the Senate Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 10, 2018. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2018-1004s). Sanborn, was adopted on a voice vote on March 8, 2018, changing the text of the bill. On March 8, 2018 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House and was referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 3, 2018. The committee held a work session on April 17, 2018. The committee met in executive session on April 17, 2018 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 18–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On April 26, 2018 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote.
