SB 65 (2017)

relative to vaccines administered by pharmacists.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2017-2018
  • House committee: Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs
  • Senate committee: Health and Human Services
  • Subject: Miscellaneous
  • Chapter law: 149

The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 2017 and referred to the Senate Health and Human Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 21, 2017. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 29, 2017 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House and was referred to the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 11, 2017. The committee met in executive session on April 25, 2017 to vote on its recommendation. The minority of the committee recommended that the House kill it. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it by a vote of 14–7, and the report was placed on the regular calendar. On May 4, 2017 the House voted to pass it on a roll call 281–76. An enrolled bill amendment (2017-1646e) was adopted on a voice vote on May 4, 2017. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on May 18, 2017 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (2017-1646e) was adopted on a voice vote to correct technical errors found after passage. The governor signed it on June 16, 2017, making it Chapter 149 of the session laws.
