The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 2017 and referred to the Senate Health and Human Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 2, 2017. The committee voted unanimously, 5–0, to recommend that the Senate pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 9, 2017 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House on February 16, 2017 and was referred to the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 15, 2017. The committee met in executive session on March 15, 2017 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 15–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 23, 2017 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. An enrolled bill amendment (2017-1226e) was adopted on a voice vote on March 23, 2017. These correct technical errors found after passage.
