The Story
It was introduced on January 6, 2016 and referred to the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 14, 2016. The committee held work sessions on January 26, 2016 and February 2, 2016. The committee met in executive session on February 3, 2016 to vote on its recommendation. The minority of the committee recommended that the House kill it. The majority of the committee recommended that the House pass it with changes (amendment 2016-0326h) by a vote of 11–7, and the report was placed on the regular calendar. The bill died on the table when the session ended on July 27, 2016, having been set aside and never taken back up.
