- Term: 2015-2016
- House committee: Ways and Means
- Senate committee: Ways and Means

The Story
It was introduced on January 8, 2015 and referred to the Senate Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 2, 2015. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 12, 2015 the Senate adopted “Special Order SB 232-FN-A to the Present Time, Without Objection”. On March 12, 2015 the Senate voted to pass it on a roll call 23–0, then referred it on to the Senate Finance committee. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 26, 2015 the Senate voted to pass it on a roll call 23–0 and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House and was referred to the House Ways and Means committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 9, 2015. The committee met in executive session on May 21, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 16–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On June 3, 2015 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. An enrolled bill amendment (2015-2296EBA) was adopted on a voice vote on June 11, 2015. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on June 24, 2015 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (2015-2296e) was adopted on a voice vote to correct technical errors found after passage. The governor signed it on July 13, 2015, making it Chapter 255 of the session laws. It took effect on July 1, 2015.
