The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 2015 and referred to the Senate Health and Human Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 5, 2015. The committee met in executive session on April 7, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 19–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 2015-1123h), and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The committee's amendment (1123h) was adopted on a voice vote on April 15, 2015, changing the text of the bill. On April 15, 2015 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 14, 2015 the Senate adopted “Sen. Sanborn Concurs with House Amendment #1123h” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 3, 2015 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 12, 2015, making it Chapter 144 of the session laws.
