HCR 2 (2015)

applying to Congress to hold a convention for amendments.

  • Status: Passed one chamber
  • Term: 2015-2016
  • House committee: State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs
  • Subject: State Government

The Story

It was introduced on January 7, 2015 and referred to the House Legislative Administration committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on February 13, 2015. The committee met in executive session on February 19, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted 13–2 to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The bill was taken off the consent calendar on March 4, 2015. On March 4, 2015 the House rejected a motion to lay it on the table on a division vote 156–170. On March 4, 2015 the House voted to pass it on a roll call 181–134. On March 11, 2015 the House failed “Reconsider (Rep Tucker)” on a division vote 135–224. On April 9, 2015 the Senate failed “Not Introduced, Pursuant to Rule 3-26”.
