The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 2015 and referred to the House Election Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 3, 2015. The committee voted unanimously, 16–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 18, 2015 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 12, 2015 and was referred to the Senate Public and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 15, 2015. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On April 30, 2015 the Senate voted to pass it on a roll call 24–0 and ordered it to a third reading.
