The Story

The committee met in executive session on February 10, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 17–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 2015-0304h), and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The committee's amendment (0304h) was adopted on a voice vote on February 18, 2015, changing the text of the bill. On February 18, 2015 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On February 18, 2015 the bill was referred to the Finance committee. The committee held a work session on March 16, 2015. The committee met in executive session on March 18, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 21–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 25, 2015 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 26, 2015 and was referred to the Senate Capital Budget committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 15, 2015. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On May 21, 2015 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on June 3, 2015 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 12, 2015, making it Chapter 137 of the session laws.
