The Story
It was introduced on January 8, 2015 and referred to the House Transportation committee. The committee held public hearings on January 28, 2015 and February 3, 2015. The committee met in executive session on February 10, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The majority recommended that the House pass it, and the minority recommended that the House kill it, by a vote of 10–8. The report was placed on the regular calendar. On February 18, 2015 the House voted to lay it on the table on a roll call 296–56. The bill died on the table when the session ended on November 18, 2015, having been set aside and never taken back up.
