The committee met in executive session on January 28, 2015 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 15–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 2015-0057h), and the report was placed on the regular calendar. The committee's amendment (0057h) was adopted on a voice vote on February 4, 2015, changing the text of the bill. On February 4, 2015 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 5, 2015 and was referred to the Senate Transportation committee. The committee held public hearings on April 21, 2015 and May 26, 2015. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2015-1955s). On June 3, 2015 the House adopted “House Non-Concurs and Requests Committee of Conference (Rep Hinch)” on a voice vote. The committee's amendment (1955s) was adopted on a voice vote on June 4, 2015, changing the text of the bill. A floor amendment (2015-2006s), offered by Sen. On June 11, 2015 the Senate adopted “accedes to House Request for Committee of Conference” on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Stiles. A committee of conference met on June 16, 2015 to try to settle the differences between the two chambers' versions of the bill. The Senate adopted the conference report (2777c) on a voice vote. The House adopted the conference report (2777c) on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 24, 2015 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor.
