SB 269 (2014)

relative to the reporting requirements for dedicated funds.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2013-2014
  • House committee: Ways and Means
  • Senate committee: Finance
  • Subject: Miscellaneous
  • Chapter law: 110

The Story

It was introduced on January 8, 2014 and referred to the Senate Finance committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 14, 2014. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2014-0276s). The committee's amendment (0276s) was adopted on a voice vote on February 6, 2014, changing the text of the bill. On February 6, 2014 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the House on March 13, 2014 and was referred to the House Finance committee. The House withdrew that referral and sent the bill to the Ways and Means committee instead. The committee held a public hearing on April 2, 2014. The committee held work sessions on April 15, 2014 and April 24, 2014. The committee met in executive session on April 29, 2014 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted 18–1 to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On May 7, 2014 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 15, 2014 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 11, 2014, making it Chapter 110 of the session laws. It took effect on July 1, 2015.
