The Story
It was introduced on January 3, 2013 and referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 6, 2013. The committee voted unanimously, 5–0, to recommend that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2013-1080s), and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The bill was taken off the consent calendar on March 28, 2013. The committee's amendment (1080s) was adopted on a voice vote on March 28, 2013, changing the text of the bill. A floor amendment (2013-1111s), offered by Sen. Bradley, was adopted on a voice vote on March 28, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On March 28, 2013 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House on April 3, 2013 and was referred to the House Science, Technology and Energy committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 16, 2013. The committee held a work session on May 1, 2013. The committee met in executive session on May 14, 2013 and May 21, 2013. These correct technical errors found after passage.
