The committee's amendment (0122s) was adopted on a voice vote on February 14, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On February 14, 2013 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House on March 27, 2013 and was referred to the House Election Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 16, 2013. The committee held work sessions on April 24, 2013 and April 30, 2013. The committee met in executive session on May 28, 2013 to vote on its recommendation. The committee's amendment (1480h) was adopted on a voice vote on June 5, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On June 5, 2013 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote.
