The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2013-0732s). On March 14, 2013 the Senate adopted “Special Order to 3/21/13, Without Objection, 2/3 necessary” on a voice vote. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2013-0732s). The committee's amendment (0732s) was adopted on a voice vote on March 21, 2013, changing the text of the bill. A floor amendment (2013-1062s), offered by Sen. Gilmour, was adopted on a voice vote on March 21, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On March 21, 2013 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House on March 27, 2013 and was referred to the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 16, 2013. The committee held work sessions on April 24, 2013, April 30, 2013, May 7, 2013 and May 8, 2013. The committee met in executive session on May 14, 2013 to vote on its recommendation. The committee's amendment (1610h) was adopted on a voice vote on May 22, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On May 22, 2013 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On June 12, 2013 the Senate voted to agree to the other chamber's changes on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Stiles. The bill was enrolled on June 26, 2013 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. It became law without the governor's signature, as Chapter 167. The governor neither signed it nor returned it, and the docket records it as enacted under Part II, Article 44 of the state constitution.
