It was introduced on January 3, 2013 and referred to the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 26, 2013. It crossed to the Senate on March 14, 2013 and was referred to the Senate Health, Education and Human Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 16, 2013 on a proposed non-germane amendment (2013-1233s).
