The Story

It crossed to the Senate on March 14, 2013 and was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 27, 2013. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2013-1393s). The committee's amendment (1393s) was adopted on a voice vote on May 2, 2013, changing the text of the bill. A floor amendment (2013-1482s), offered by Sen. Bradley, was adopted on a voice vote on May 2, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On May 2, 2013 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 22, 2013 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate AM #1393s and #1482s (Rep Chandley)” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 13, 2013 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 28, 2013, making it Chapter 153 of the session laws.
