The Story

It was introduced on January 3, 2013 and referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 26, 2013. The committee met in executive session on March 5, 2013 to vote on its recommendation. The committee's amendment (0404h) was adopted on a voice vote on March 20, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On March 20, 2013 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 21, 2013 and was referred to the Senate Public and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 24, 2013. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On May 2, 2013 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on May 8, 2013 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 4, 2013, making it Chapter 50 of the session laws.
