The Story

The committee met in executive session on February 19, 2013 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted 14–1 to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 0380h), and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The committee's amendment (0380h) was adopted on a voice vote on March 6, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On March 6, 2013 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 7, 2013 and was referred to the Senate Transportation committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 19, 2013. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2013-1042s). The committee's amendment (1042s) was adopted on a voice vote on March 28, 2013, changing the text of the bill. On March 28, 2013 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 22, 2013 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate AM #1042s (Rep Bouchard)” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on May 30, 2013 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 7, 2013, making it Chapter 75 of the session laws.
