relative to voter registration and relative to procedures for absentee voting.

  • Status: Killed
  • Term: 2011-2012

  • Subject: Elections

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2011 and referred to the House Election Law committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 22, 2011. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on May 17, 2011, September 20, 2011, September 21, 2011 and September 28, 2011. The committee met in executive session on October 27, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 19–0, to recommend that the House kill it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 4, 2012 the House voted to kill it on a voice vote.
