HB 449-FN (2012)

relative to reports on information available on the state website.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2011-2012
  • House committee: Executive Departments and Administration
  • Senate committee: Executive Departments and Administration
  • Subject: Miscellaneous
  • Chapter law: 10

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2011 and referred to the House Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 1, 2011. The committee met in executive session on March 2, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on June 2, 2011, September 8, 2011 and September 20, 2011. The committee met in executive session on October 11, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 12–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 2580h), and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The committee's amendment (2580h) was adopted on a voice vote on January 4, 2012, changing the text of the bill. On January 4, 2012 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on February 15, 2012 and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held public hearings on March 8, 2012 and March 22, 2012. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 28, 2012 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on April 18, 2012 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on April 23, 2012, making it Chapter 10 of the session laws.
