  • Status: Died on the table
  • Term: 2011-2012
  • Senate committee: Finance
  • Subject: Welfare/Medicare/Medicaid

The Story

It was introduced on February 3, 2011 and referred to the Senate Finance committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 24, 2011. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2011-1179s). The committee's amendment (1179s) was adopted on a voice vote on March 30, 2011, changing the text of the bill. On March 30, 2011 the Senate adopted the motion that it ought to pass with an amendment on a voice vote, but its third reading was left pending. On March 30, 2011 the Senate voted to lay it on the table on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Morse. The bill died on the table when the session ended on September 7, 2011, having been set aside and never taken back up.
