The Story

It was introduced on January 19, 2011 and referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 24, 2011. On March 23, 2011 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. It crossed to the House and was referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 12, 2011. The committee held a work session on April 26, 2011. The committee met in executive session on May 10, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 13–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 1683h), and the report was placed on the consent calendar. The committee's amendment (1683h) was adopted on a voice vote on May 18, 2011, changing the text of the bill. On May 18, 2011 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. On May 25, 2011 the Senate adopted “Sen. Odell Concurs with House Amendment #1683h; NT” on a voice vote.
