- Senate committee: Energy and Natural Resources

The Story
It was introduced on January 5, 2011 and referred to the House Resources, Recreation and Development committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 18, 2011. The committee met in executive session on January 20, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 16–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On February 9, 2011 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 16, 2011 and was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 24, 2011. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes. The committee's amendment (1225s) was adopted on a voice vote on April 13, 2011, changing the text of the bill. On April 13, 2011 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 4, 2011 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate Amendment #1225s(NT) (Rep Renzullo)” on a voice vote. An enrolled bill amendment (2011-1807e) was adopted on May 4, 2011. These correct technical errors found after passage. The bill was enrolled on May 18, 2011 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (1807) was adopted to correct technical errors found after passage. The governor signed it on May 27, 2011, making it Chapter 90 of the session laws.
