relative to planning board members.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2011-2012
  • House committee: Municipal and County Government
  • Senate committee: Public and Municipal Affairs
  • Subject: Zoning and Planning
  • Chapter law: 190

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2011 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 10, 2011. The committee met in executive session on February 24, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted 15–1 to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 0358h), and the report was placed on the regular calendar. The committee's amendment (0358h) was adopted on a voice vote on March 16, 2011, changing the text of the bill. On March 16, 2011 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 23, 2011 and was referred to the Senate Public and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on May 3, 2011. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2011-1857s). The committee's amendment (1857s) was adopted on a voice vote on May 18, 2011, changing the text of the bill. On May 18, 2011 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On May 25, 2011 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate AM #1857s (Rep Ferrante)” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 8, 2011 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 14, 2011, making it Chapter 190 of the session laws.
