HB 322 (2011)

relative to occupancy fees charged by manufactured housing park owners.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2011-2012
  • House committee: Commerce and Consumer Affairs
  • Senate committee: Commerce
  • Subject: Housing
  • Chapter law: 166

The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2011 and referred to the House Commerce and Consumer Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on February 17, 2011. The committee met in executive session on March 1, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted 11–1 to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On March 15, 2011 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 23, 2011 and was referred to the Senate Commerce committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 26, 2011. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it with changes (amendment 2011-1980s). The committee's amendment (1980s) was adopted on a voice vote on May 25, 2011, changing the text of the bill. On May 25, 2011 the Senate voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. On June 1, 2011 the House adopted “House Concurs with Senate AM #1980s (Rep Hunt)” on a voice vote. The bill was enrolled on June 8, 2011 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 14, 2011, making it Chapter 166 of the session laws.
