HB 32 (2011)

relative to statutory references to the choice and duties of town auditors.

  • Status: Signed into law
  • Term: 2011-2012
  • House committee: Municipal and County Government
  • Senate committee: Public and Municipal Affairs
  • Subject: Municipalities
  • Chapter law: 4

The Story

It was introduced on January 5, 2011 and referred to the House Municipal and County Government committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 18, 2011. The committee met in executive session on January 18, 2011 to vote on its recommendation. The committee voted unanimously, 12–0, to recommend that the House pass it, and the report was placed on the consent calendar. On January 26, 2011 the House voted to pass it on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 16, 2011 and was referred to the Senate Public and Municipal Affairs committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 22, 2011. The committee recommended that the Senate pass it. On March 30, 2011 the Senate voted to pass it on a voice vote and ordered it to a third reading. The bill was enrolled on April 13, 2011 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on April 25, 2011, making it Chapter 4 of the session laws.
