It crossed to the Senate on March 24, 2010 and was referred to the Senate Health and Human Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on April 6, 2010. On May 5, 2010 the House adopted “House Non-Concurs with Senate AM & Req C of C (Reps Rosenwald & M.Smith)” on a voice vote. On May 19, 2010 the Senate adopted “Accedes to House Request for Committee of Conference” on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Sgambati. A committee of conference met on May 25, 2010 to try to settle the differences between the two chambers' versions of the bill. The bill was enrolled on June 2, 2010 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor — and an enrolled bill amendment (2367) was adopted to correct technical errors found after passage.
