The Story

It was introduced on January 6, 2010 and referred to the House Judiciary committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 19, 2010. The committee met in executive session on February 9, 2010 to vote on its recommendation. On March 11, 2010 the House rejected a motion to kill it on a division vote 145–117. On March 11, 2010 the House adopted “Lay on the Table (Rep Eaton)” on a roll call 178–119. The bill died on the table when the session ended on October 13, 2010, having been set aside and never taken back up.
