HB 133 (2010)
requiring employers to report certain information regarding outsourcing to the department of employment security.
- Status: Died on the table
- Term: 2009-2010
- House committee: Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services
- Subject: Employment
The Story
It was introduced on January 7, 2009 and referred to the House Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee. The committee held a public hearing on January 21, 2009. The committee held work sessions on January 29, 2009, February 3, 2009 and March 12, 2009. The committee met in executive session on March 12, 2009 to vote on its recommendation. The committee retained the bill, holding it for further work rather than reporting it out this year. The committee held work sessions on October 29, 2009 and November 5, 2009. The committee met in executive session on November 24, 2009 to vote on its recommendation. The majority recommended that the House pass it (amendment 2509h), and the minority recommended that the House kill it, by a vote of 10–7. The committee's amendment (2509h) was adopted on a voice vote on January 13, 2010, changing the text of the bill. On January 13, 2010 the House rejected a motion to pass it on a division vote 136–126. On January 13, 2010 the House adopted “Laid on the Table (Rep Eaton)” on a division vote 299–27. The bill died on the table when the session ended on October 13, 2010, having been set aside and never taken back up.
