The Story

The committee voted unanimously, 17–0, to recommend that the House pass it with changes (amendment 0249h). The bill was taken off the consent calendar on February 10, 2010. On February 10, 2010 the House adopted “Special Ordered to Regular Place in Feb 17 Consent Calendar”. The committee's amendment (0249h) was adopted on a voice vote on February 17, 2010, changing the text of the bill. On February 17, 2010 the House voted to pass it with changes on a voice vote. It crossed to the Senate on March 3, 2010 and was referred to the Senate Executive Departments and Administration committee. The committee held a public hearing on March 23, 2010. The bill was enrolled on June 2, 2010 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on June 28, 2010, making it Chapter 209 of the session laws.
