On June 10, 2009 the Senate voted to reject the other chamber's changes on a voice vote, on a motion by Sen. Sgambati. On June 10, 2009 the House adopted “House Accedes to Senate Request for Committee of Conference (Rep Butler)” on a voice vote. A committee of conference met on June 16, 2009 to try to settle the differences between the two chambers' versions of the bill. The bill was enrolled on June 24, 2009 — the final check of the text before it goes to the governor. The governor signed it on July 16, 2009, making it Chapter 224 of the session laws.
